الملخص
موضوع البحث: "(عَلُ) فى العربيَّة-دراسة نحويَّة تطبيقيَّة فى شعر مُحرَّم وجُبران-". ويهدف البحث إلى: جمع أقوال اللغويين والنَّحويين وغيرهم فى (عل)، وإظهار ما يخص أحکامها فى العربيَّة فى بحث مستقل، وتحليل الأشکال اللغويَّة لمواضع (عل) الواردة فى شعر مُحرَّم وجُبران. وجرى دراستـه فى: (مقدِّمة، ومبحثين، وخاتمـة).
-تناولت المقدِّمة: (مُشکلة البحـث، وأهدافـه، وخُطَّة البحث، والمنهج المُتَبع).
-واشتمل المبحث الأول على: أحکام (عَل) فى لُغة العرب، وضمَّ أحد عشر مطلبا، هى: معنى (عَل)، وموافقة (عَل) لـ(فوق) ومخالفتها لها، وأصل (عَل)، واللغات الواردة فى (عَل)، وصل (عَل) بهاء السَّکت، و(عَل) بين الإعراب والبناء، وشبه المُنادى (النَّکرة المقصودة) لـ(عَل) فى البناء على الضَّم، والفرق بين بناء (عَل) وبناء (لَهْ) من قولهم: (لهْ أبوک)، و(عَل) بين التَّعريف والتَّنکير، و(عَل) بين الإضافة والقطع، و(عَل) بين التَّنوين وعدمه.
-وتضمَّن المبحث الثَّانى: (عَل) فى شعر مُحرَّم وجُبران، وضم عشرة مطالب.
- وبيَّنت الخاتمة أهم النَّتائج التى انتهى إليها البحث. والمنهج المُتَّبع فى البحث هو المنهج الوصفى التَّحليلى
 
Abstract
The topic of this study is: (Alou) in Arabic: An applied grammatical study in Moharam's and Gobran's poetry. The study aims at collecting the ideas of linguistics, grammarians, and others about (alou); clarifying its rules in Arabic in an isolated research; and revealing the forms of (alou) that are found in Moharam's and Gobran's poetry. The study is divided into an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion.
The introduction includes the research problem, its aims, the plan of the study, and the methodology followed.
 The first chapter contains the rules of (Alou) in Arabic and it involves eleven issues which are: the definition of (alou), agreement and disagreement between (alou) and (fawka), origin of (alou), languages using (alou), connection of (alou) to stopping “h” (haa assaket),  (alou) between syntax and structure, the pseudo-vocative of (alou) (the intentional indefinite noun) in (dham) constructions,  difference between (alou) and (lah) construction as in (Lah Abuka),  (alou) in definite and indefinite cases, (alou) in (Idhafa) and (kataa) cases, (alou) in (tanween) and non-(tanween) cases.
The second chapter shows (alou) in Moharam's and Gobran's poetry and it included ten issues.
The conclusion involves the most important results of the study. The methodology adopted in this study is the analytical descriptive approach.
