الملخص:
يلقي البحثُ الضوءَ على مرکزية مصطلحات الإمام سيبويه الصوتية في التراث العربي، من خلال تتبعِ أثر تلک المصطلحات في اللاحقين له من علماء الأمة على مدى قرونٍ عديدةٍ، مع العمل على إبرازِ مظاهر ذلک التأثير وحدوده، ومحاولة توضيح الأسباب التي أدتْ إلى تلک المرکزية، والعوامل التي أدتْ إلى بقاء هذه المصطلحات قرونًا عديدةً حتى عصرنا الحاضر.
کما حاول البحث إخضاع تلک المصطلحات للشروط الفنية للمصطلح العلمي الدقيق کما هو مقرر في علم المصطلح الحديث؛ لبيان مدى مطابقتها لتلک الشروط.
وقد استعان البحثُ بالمنهج الوصفي لينهض بتحقيق الأهداف التي سعى إليها من خلال آليات الوصف والتحليل، کما خلد أحيانًا إلى المنهج التاريخي، حينما تعلَّق الأمرُ بتأصيل بعض المصطلحات، وکذا الحديث عن سيبويه، وکتابه، ومکانتهما في القديم والحديث.Abstract
 
The research sheds light on the centrality of Imam Sibawayh's phonemic terminology in the Arab heritage, by tracing the effect of those terms on his followers from the scholars of the nation over many centuries, while working on highlighting the manifestations and limits of that influence, and trying to clarify the reasons that led to that centralization, and the factors that These terms have survived for many centuries to the present day.
The research also tried to subject those terms to the technical conditions of the exact scientific term as determined in the modern term science. To demonstrate the extent of their compliance with those conditions.
The research used the descriptive method to advance the realization of the goals it sought through the mechanisms of description and analysis, and it was sometimes immortalized in the historical method, when it came to the origin of some terms, as well as talking about Sibawayh, his book, and their place in the old and the modern.
