    في قصة: (بيت من لحم) ليوسف إدريس تآزرت ظاهرتان مهمتان؛ ظاهرة الصّمت الذي حمل راية المسکوت عنه (والمقموع) في مقابل المنطوق أو الجانب الصوتي، وظاهرة انفتاح النص بما يحمله من مؤهلات أسلوبية وفنية لتعدد قراءاته واستعداده لمشارکة قارئ نخبوي يسهم بوعي في استکمال ما غاب عن النّص بتقنيات الصّمت والحذف والفراغ والفضاء النقطي ونحو ذلک مما يفسح المجال لتنوع الدلالات الفکرية للتهاوي الخلقي والمجتمعي وإحالته لمدلول رمزي له مسوغات وطنية أو إنسانية، ومن واقع تکامل العناصر الفنية في القصة تبدو براعة الکاتب في صياغة قصته بلغة بسيطة تمتزج فيها العامية بالفصحى، وتتآزر هذه العناصر فيما بينها لتکوّن وحدة فنية ذات طابع متميز، وتسهم فيما بينها في نشوء الحدث وتطوره وانفتاحه ثم تهيئته لاختلاف الدلالات وتعددها.

In the story: (Bethlehem) by Youssef Idris, two important phenomena have joined forces; The phenomenon of silence that carried the banner of the unspoken (and repressed) as opposed to the spoken or vocal aspect, and the phenomenon of the openness of the text with its stylistic and technical qualifications due to its multiple readings and its willingness to participate with an elite reader who consciously contributes to completing what was absent from the text with the techniques of silence, deletion, void, point space and the like, which allows The scope for the diversity of intellectual connotations of moral and societal decay and its referral to a symbolic connotation that has national or humanitarian justifications, and from the reality of the integration of the artistic elements in the story, the writer’s ingenuity in formulating his story in a simple language in which the colloquial and classical are mixed, and these elements are synergistic among themselves to form an artistic unit of a distinct nature, and contribute to the Among them is the emergence of the event, its development and openness, and then preparing it for the different and multiplicity of connotations.
