يعد التکرار ظاهرة أصيلة في الشعر العربي؛ وذلک لأن تکرار کلمات
أو صور معينة له دور في إضاءة التجربة وتعميقها؛ إذ يشير الإلحاح على بعض الکلمات داخل تراکيب ثابتة أو متغيرة إلى أشياء لا تستطيع التجربة الشعرية توصيلها أو الإيحاء بها دون هذا التکرار .
ولما کان التکرار إحدى الظواهر الأسلوبية البارزة والمهمة في الشعر العربي، کما أن له دورا بارزا في سبک المعنى وحبک الفکرة وتنغيم الإيقاع، بل إنه يتجاوز البعد الإيقاعي في التأثير ويتعدى إلى تشکيل البنية الدلالية للقصيدة من خلال النظم المختلفة المتباينة التي يمکن أن يأتي عليها التکرار؛ فهو يأتي على مستويات عديدة لا يمکن حصرها حصرا کاملا ؛ لما کان التکرار کذلک
فإنه لا تکاد تخلو قصيدة شعرية من قصائد الشعر العربي قديمة وحديثه من تلک الظاهرة .
من هنا جاءت أهمية الدراسة التي أقدمت عليها دراسة تکشف عن ملامح تجربته الإبداعية تجاه هذا اللون البلاغي، وعناصر أدائه له ودوره في إحداث التماسک النصي من خلال تتبع السياق الواردة فيه الأبيات مناط الدرس والتحليل .

Repetition is an inherent phenomenon in Arabic poetry, because the repetition of certain words or images has a role in the illumination and deepening of the experiment. The insistence on some words in fixed or variable structures refers to things that the poetic experience can not convey or imply without repetition.
Because repetition is one of the salient and prominent stylistic phenomena in Arabic poetry, it has a prominent role in casting the meaning and love of the idea and toning the rhythm, but it goes beyond the rhythmic dimension of the effect and goes beyond the formation of the semantic structure of the poem through the various different systems in which repetition can come about; It comes at many levels can not be limited exclusively; because the repetition as well as it is almost devoid of poetry poem of the poems of the Arab old and modern of that phenomenon.
Hence the importance of the study, which was carried out by a study that reveals the features of his creative experience towards this rhetorical color, the elements of his performance and his role in creating the textual cohesion by tracing the context in which the verses are studied and analyzed.
