نحن أمام مصطلح لغوي ظاهره لغويّ وباطنه نفسي، فالمتکلم يشعر براحة نفسية عندما يخرج کلامه في شکل إيقاع منتظم، ويشارکه السامع تلک المتعة النفسية عندما يسمع هذا الکلام بتلک الصورة؛ وذلک لأن الله وضع في النفس البشرية ميلاً إلى ذلک التوافق والتناغم والانسجام بين کلمات العبارة الواحدة، ومن هنا يسعى المتکلم إلى إحداث نوع من الانسجام اللفظي في کلامه؛ ليکون أيسر على لسانه، وأکثر جمالاً واتساقاً في أذن السامع، فيلجأ إلى تغيير اللفظ عن هيئته الأصلية ليشابه لفظاً آخر في السياق نفسه، وهذا التغيير يسمى الازدواج اللغوي.
وبغيتنا في هذا البحث الکشف عن الازدواج اللغوي في لغتنا العربية من خلال معجم لسان العرب لابن منظور، وآل عنوان هذا البحث إلى (الازدواج اللغوي في لسان العرب لابن منظور (ت 711هـ) دراسة لغوية).
واقتضت طبيعة البحث أن أقسمه إلى مقدمة وثلاثة مباحث وخاتمة وفهارس، فالمقدمة: تحدثت فيها عن الموضوع وأهميته وأسباب اختياري له وخطته. والمبحث الأول: الازدواج اللغوي (تعريفه ونظرة اللغويين القدماء إليه). والمبحث الثاني: أسباب حدوث الازدواج اللغوي (الدوافع والبواعث). والمبحث الثالث: الازدواج اللغوي في لسان العرب لابن منظور، وقد قسمت هذا الفصل إلى أقسام أربعة، القسم الأول: الازدواج الصوتي، والقسم الثاني: الازدواج الصرفي، والقسم الثالث: الازدواج النحوي، والقسم الرابع: الازدواج الدلالي. والخاتمة: ذکرت فيها ما توصلت إليه من نتائج في هذا البحث.

We are faced with a linguistic term, linguistic and psychological. The speaker feels psychological comfort when his speech becomes in a regular rhythm. the listener shares the speaker this psychological pleasure when he listens to his speech that way. this happens because Allah. The Almighty. Makes people like harmony and rhythm the  among  the words of one phrase . according to that  the speaker tries  to create a kind of harmony in his speech. in order to be easier when he speaks and more beautiful when the listener, listens to him  that’s way, the speaker tries to  change the word from its original form  to resemble another word in the same context, and this change is called double language.
In this research we seek to search for double language in our Arabic language through the dictionary of Ibn Manzour ''Lessan ElArab''  the title of this research is (double language in ''Lessan ElArab'' of  Ibn Manzour a linguistic study)
The nature of this research required that I divided it into an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion and indexes. In The introduction: I spoke about the subject, its importance, the reasons for its choice and its plan. In The first chapter: I spoke about the double language (its definition and the look of the ancient linguists to it). In The second Chapter: I spoke about the Causes of double language (Motives and motivations). In the third chapter: I spoke about double language in ''Lessan ElArab'' of Ibn Manzour, I have  divided this chapter into four sections, the first section: Phonetic double, and the second section: the morphological double, the third section: the grammatical double, and the fourth section: meaningful double. In The conclusion: I mentioned the results  of this research.
